menef, thanks for the heads-up. Purchased the package but haven't tried it out yet.
I thought we used to have more F-8 Crusader fans here. I'm surprised there's been no more comments since your original post.

    You are right!
Already purchased and tried, well, in my opinion it's very very well modeled, inside and outside, it flies smootly without crazy behaviours, also the
RF-8 G photo-recon is part of the package and the prototype with nose probe for test flights data. The VC is simply FANTASTIC.
On the downside of this addon, we have : No Tacpack integration and, always in my opinion at low speeds during the approach, even if you read,
let's say for example 140 Kts on the anemometer, the feeling you have looking outside is that you are flying more slowly, something like 70/80 KTS... Last point is that a very basic manual is provided

I appreciate that there are still planes developed for FSX, but the RFN Crusader satisfies all my Crusader-needs. 35 euros is a fair price, but I'll stick to the freeware.

Cees, the RFN F-8 is an outstanding plane, definitely payware-quality freeware. The past few weeks have been rough on me and I decided to treat myself with Roland's package. I was sold when he included the RF-8G photo bird and XF8U-1 prototype. I did two tours with VFP-63 as a photo interpreter, first during Vietnam and back again in the late 70's.

Nice to see a correctly shaped RF-8.

Hmmm...says Graphic card 8 GB ( more recommended )... not sure if my old card can handle that...

WarHorse47, I bet your graphics card is newer/better than mine. I'm running a Nvidia GeForce 550 Ti graphics card (1 GB) and I admit I'm not getting great frame rates but Roland's F-8 still flies OK even with the 4096x4096 textures. If I reduce the texture size to 2048x2048 I'm sure that would improve my FPS.

IMHO the engine sound isn't very good so I've changed it with with the RFN one...
