    FirePower P-51D released for upload...

Got the OK from Mr Scott at A2A simulations to upload their wonderful FirePower P-51D. Still one of the best P-51D's ever done for CFS3. With the Administrator's ok will upload here at SOH.

That is great news! I still have my original Firepower dvds. It is a great plane with excellent details.

Having trouble uploading the FirePower P-51D. Tells me there is a error, file size too large. 7zip File is only 3.75mb and should be below the minimum. Don't know what to do. Any help ?

  4. #4
It might be the 7zip format(?), I have only used the standard windows zip when uploading and have never had any problems.

Now it says off site download no longer supported. If someone wants i can email them the aircraft and whomever can upload it. Credits are given in the aircraft file. Thanks for any help.
    Regards,Scott

    Sixstrings,

This error message is often related to images which are too large in the zip file. both normal.zip format and 7zip format are supported in the library to a maximum size of 1Gb.
I can't recall the maximum size of the allowable images, but I normally use 1440x810 in my uploads, which doesn't give any problems.

(in the fields from "upload file" you can find a link which shows all the supported file types and sizes).

    Hopefully this helps,
    Huub

Hello Huub, tried everything i know and still can't upload. Asked Threedp to do it and he agreed. I know i'm doing something wrong so maybe he can figure it out. Regards,Scott

I know if you are uploading a picture to show with the download, it can be too big and will give you an error. Got me a couple of times 'till I figured it out. It should tell you when you go to upload what size the separate pic should be. If any of that makes sense lol.

Thanks for this! Is there a Dynamic Reticle setup for this bird I could use?

    Terrific! Thanks, guys!

Thank you and thanks to A2A!

    It's a shame the original paint kit isn't compatible w/the CFS3 version.

MajorMagee, you've got two different gunsights listed in the effects lines. Is this right? If not, which is the appropriate gunsight/reticle?

I just did a rework of the effects and recalibrated the sight's convergence alignment.

As far as the gunsight names they're both right. This sight has a dual projector system. The implementation is not perfect but the intention is that if you shift your head left or right you can use either type of reticle as appropriate to the mission (ground or air target). If you don't want the split reticle functionality then make them both the same. US_AAF_K14_gunsight for air to air, or US_AAF_l3a_gunsight for air to ground.
