    Hello Folks
Thank you Guys for your good words and your support.
I'm working on the next one, not a conversion but a completely new one

Stay a lot of work, but I believe one can already recognise her

One of the problems I meet is with the vertice account, what will necessary have to be negleted, it's a nightmare...

So it won't be for to-morrow, you can easily understand it

    Cheers
    Martin

    The RE 8, 'Harry Tate'.

I run into the same issue using both FSDS2.4 and FSDS3.5 Martin. There seems to be an absolute limit on the total vertices before the compilation fails to actually build the model (or the game will not process the compiled model) Either way, the model will then not appear in the game.
    Cheers,

    Captain Kurt

    Excellent A/c. Thank you, luvvit!

    Gents,
Yes, compilation isn't just about the 65,000 poly limit. I've found that sometimes having too many parts or materials or excess vertices can stop compilation of a model. There's no exact verticy limit, unlike polys, but I've found that if you break a part into several smaller parts, and although the same overall model verticy count, it's how many verticies are in one part that can stop compilation.....FSDS 2.24 is more forgiving than 3/3.5...but no exact rules!

BTW Nice work K and CK.

And I take it this is an R.A.F. B.E. 2c?

    Cheers

    Shessi

I believe I'll go my way, detailing the engine and setting up removable cowlings, and I'll see if I have problems on compilation, it will be time then to give up removable cowlings and delete the invisible parts.

It will be a Re8, but she was not far from late productions Be2c "Fokker fodders".

    Cheers

Some picts for the Re8 in progress, it will be a Daimler built fitted now with her cowlings

The engine is nearly complete, let's see if I'll have vertices enough at the end for the spark plug wires and the manifold.

We'll have to wait a bit to see it finished

    Best regards
    Martin

Still all the VC to do, and a set of gauges to have it finished, the model uses actualy nearly 40.000 vertices, MakeModel keep on to compile it for now, let's see how long...

    Best Regards

Lovely work Martin. A very reliable mount, and easy to land, but I wouldn't want to take evasive action in her. Love the livery!

Thanks Ravenna for your good words, I'm glad you enloy the Harry Tate.
The Re8 wasn't the plane that would have win the first price for beauty, and she had some reputation to be a "Fokker Fodder", but she was involved in lots of reliable tasks that drove her into the legend, I built as a child the venerable Airfix kit and it stayed since in my imagination.

    Cheers

    Hello Martin,

    ...and you can be!

One thing is to make a reasonably decent model in AF99, fighting the
limitations, and adding some SCASM, and quite another is to get oneself
into Gmax with any degree of success.

I tried at least 4 times in the last 15 years to get myself into Gmax,
to no avail. I never got beyond the tutorial.

    Cheers,
    Aleatorylamp
