First longer flight with SU6, everything went without any hitch for me.

Took off in Nantes, France and flew north to Belfast. Weather was fine on take-off and leaving France but over the Channel there was a storm front tried everything between FL080 and FL200 to get some clean air but no luck. Stayed at FL200 with winds of 70+ knots and thoughed it out. Weather cleared out again just short of Liverpool so the rest of the flight was nice and smooth.

    Nice DC6 shots and livery.

Here are a few Seneca repaints I just did (they're simple "cheater" paints as I like to call them - but still takes time finding good colors and making the package etc) - they're on flightsim.to within the hour

I've been grabbing up all of them, Ryan! I especially like the one in the red.

Here are some shots from this morning of "The Suffolk Spitfire", RW382 (G-PBIX), around Duxford (v1.3) with SU6.

Noddy's screenshots reminded me about a small update I wanted to do for my repaint of TB252. The updated version has now been uploaded: https://flightsim.to/file/16363/spit...i-tb252-n752tb

There are just a few minor changes - the most noticeable is the removal of the Free French flag insignia from the starboard-side fuselage, as I have seen some more recent photos now showing that it was only applied on the port-side.

TB252 won the Grand Champion and People's Choice awards at the National Aviation Heritage Invitational held during the Reno Air Races last month.

    Hello John,
    Beautiful work as always!!!
Did I already ask you about a repaint of Spitfire MK959 (N959RT)?
    Cheers,

    Stéph.

Finally had one flight that pushed me pretty much to the limits. Norway, Stavanger to Alta, exploring the polar circle. Weather was immediately moderate at best, taking off in rain, climbing to FL200 trying to clear the clouds. After a while I found a clear layer between the clouds, even managed to spot some ships along the coast. Than some more clouds, deicing turned all the way up but I forgot the prop de-icers. I was loosing speed while the engines where pushing pretty hard. Got that sorted out, but it went dark a lot faster than I expected. VOR ranges were actually a lot lower than stated in LittleNavMaps so Navigation included more dead reckoning than I felt comfortable with. Also some turbulences were rough enough to deactivate the altitude hold function, I guess it also gave some purpose to the barf bags . Than to make things interesting finally, my COM1 / NAV1 unit went dark. Flying into darkness with no/low visibility and missing an important piece of ILS equipment is not exactly the situation you want to be in, I guess.
Managed to sort things out, found the breaker for the Bendix unit (not on the main circuit breaker "wall" but on the lower right side), got navigation back on track and managed a good approach to a dark snowy runway.

You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
For MFS paints go to flightsim.to
