    I agree!

The overdone grass (looks more like heather at times!) really does spoil things for me as well.

I hope they fix this for MSFS 2024.

That aside, cracking screenshots as always!

    Cheers

Lovely shots as usual John, but (call me old fashioned) I prefer the lines of the legacy Hornets.

Thank you, Priller! Yeah, I need to reinstall the legacy Hornets again, something I haven't gotten around to since the last time I reinstalled MSFS. I do however enjoy the Warrior mod for the Asobo model.

Beautiful screenshot, Ferry! I like the glint of light on the glass. Inibuilds did a stunning job with the aluminum and stainless texture work.

It had been a while and I thought I'd take the F-14 out to sea again today. It's fun to have the carrier group operating so close to NAS Key West to be able to fly back and forth between the two.

Wow John, another stunning set of shots!

And I also agree with your comment on Ferry's Dornier shot, even if I can't find anything attractive about that tin can

Had to take to Tornado to the loop today

Doing an aircraft carrier (can you guess which class?)(WIP only at present) for the upcoming Seafires. Love how MSFS handles water.

They all start with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience .
The trick is, to fill the bag with experience before you run out of luck . . .

You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
For MFS paints go to flightsim.to

  19. #6919
Yeah , those gun turrets are Illustrious for sure.

Correct! Thought it might be nice to have an appropriate aircraft carrier to land the Seafires on. Plus - it's my first time attempting scenery. A whole new adventure!

One of the things I've always loved about the stock Diamond twin is the blue paint. It may be silly, but the paint, to me at least, is quite nice. I missed having a blue option with the COWS release, so I downloaded the paintkit and saw what a mess it was. So I just opened the paint files in Gimp and ran the Hue slider just about all the way to the left on all the albedo files that contained red paint and then exported back into a new texture folder copied from the red one. Once I added a new fltsim.x section to the cfg and rescanned the layout.json, I had myself a nice DA42XI with the old familiar blue!

It's great seeing the British carrier in development to go with your Seafires, Mike!

I take it you've probably seen this already (lots of great Seafire carrier action):

    Lenovo Legion T730 / Intel Core i9-9900K 3.6-5.0 GHz / 130W Liquid Cooling / GeForce RTX 2800 / 32GB DDR4 / MSI 550W PSU / 4K 43" TCL LED TV
