    AW FW-190A8 progress report

The aircraft model is 98% finished. I am just waiting for Alessandro to finish painting. He is quite busy.

I am not a good painter, I used some of the bitmap files from the AW BF-106G6. All the cockpit frames are unpainted. It will look much better when Alessandro finished painting it and updated it with the FW-190 bitmap files.

Here are some screen capture photos from the VC and 2D cockpit:

Great work on the VC ACWai! Although its a CFS2 model I'm still looking forward to the model as I guess it will work in FS9 as well......

    Thanks for the nice comments.

Alessandro lives in Italy, due to the Corona virus, it may take him a lot longer to paint the aircraft.

Actually, it only takes me less than a minute to create a FS9 aircraft. I just don't like FS9. It is boring and no aircraft to shoot down :-)

Situation here is a bit complex: This is the story so far:
My wife has a little rural house in the countryside about
70 km. from Livorno, the town were we live. Some years
ago we decided to make some work to have a nice place
    were spend the summer.
About two weeks ago there was a big water leak that need an
important intervention and our presence. Problem is solved,
but now we are "quarantined" here and have to clean and
re-organize everything with no help from anyone.
Healt is good (ehm, for now), I have a good PC and Internet,
but at the end of each day we are really tired, and I have no
mind to fire up photoshop. Hope thing will get better in the
    next future.

Ha ha, but who want to fly? Tweaking, modding and repainting, isn't that what we all do?

Good luck Alex! It seems they have locked your country. Take care and take your time

I am staying home and not going outside, I got a little bit of time to paint the aircraft. I pasted some IL-2 FW-190 bitmap texture into this aircraft. I had to magnify it to 1.8X to fit this aircraft. The texture files are a little bit fuzzy and the rivets do not align too well if you get too close to the aircraft. I am not a good painter. It will look better using texture files that are painted from scratch.

I have not heard from Alessandro for about a few weeks. I hope that he is doing OK in Italy. I don't know the current status of his painting.

Huub: Do you have time to paint this FW-190? I saw that you have released a FW-190 skin recently. I can send this aircraft to your private email address.

Are there any painters that want to help me paint this aircraft? Please send me your private email to acwai@yahoo.com

    Thanks!

    The model is almost finished.

Special thanks to Huub Vink for helping me to finish the painting when Alessandro was busy with fixing up his house.

You guys are in luck, I think Huub is painting 4 more schemes for this aircraft.

Here are two painting schemes that are finished. The VC was repainted by Huub. I am busy repainting the 2D cockpit panel.

These can be expected. I don't know whether Andrew wants to include them in the package or that they will be released as a separate download.

A small disclaimer: As I don't have cfs2 installed anymore, these screenshots were taken in FS2004.

    Andrew,

This is your best work yet, by far. Well done, sir!

    Thanks for the nice comments.

Rami: I think my best work was the FS2004 P-51D and BF-109G6. I also like this aircraft.

By special request from Shessi: The prior pilot has retired. Here is his new replacement pilot.

Looking forward to this Fw190. Great work.
Although I am a FS2004 user I have been flying a lot of CFS2 planes in the past weeks.

May I suggest a current warbird scheme:

    Hawk_sh,

Due to the texture lay-out, this repaint might be a challenge. But I will put it on my list.

    Cheers,

Thank you for considering this paint scheme:

By the way there is a very nice scenery for its homebase Heringsdorf:
