There were at least seven RAF squadrons that flew the Bulldog and they all had colorful and distinctive markings.

The RAF used to have a section on their web site that listed every squadron that the service ever had with color artwork of every plane each squadron ever flew. They did away with that section several years ago and apparently nobody salvaged those pages. Sad!

I got a number of skins from those pages when I painted Chris Herring's Bulldog some years sago. Besides the ones you've already painted, I found Bulldog schemes for No. 29, 32 and 54 squadrons. I could send you screen shots if you're looking for more RAF planes to paint.

The RAAF used Bulldogs and frankly operated them well past their 'use by date'.
IIRC there were enough around in 1939 to cause anxiety among prospective fighter pilots re the possible use of Bulldogs to form interim Squadrons......

    Whoot!

    Them's the ones!
    Thank you!

They're on a different site, and the presentation seems to be a bit different from what I remember, but those are the pages I referred to.

The link I had from some years ago led the official RAF site and they are no longer there, but RAFweb seems to have salvaged them. They have photos as well as profiles now, something I don't recall from before.

There are Bulldog profiles for the three squadrons I have for the old Chris Herring model that Huub hasn't painted (yet?) for the Aeroplane Heaven model: Nos. 29, 32 and 54 Squadrons.

The Swedish Bristol J7 No. 5213 from the Svenska Flygvapnet, the repaint was done after a painting from Roger H. Middlebrook.

As Priller said, and it made me realise I never uploaded the Swedish repaint.

And some shameless advertising for my own repaints.....

Thank you both, and also for the accidental link for the Hurricane, which is also in my restored FS9.

I saw the last Bulldog on what must have been one of its very last flights at Farnborough the day before it crashed.

Wow, that must have been a scary experience!

Parts for the Bulldog which crashed in 1964 were used for the aircraft which is now on display in the Hendon museum. Which was subject of one of my repaints. Exactly like the aircraft which crashed at Farnborough, the aircraft currently on display is painted a Bulldog of B Flight, No.56 (Fighter) Squadron, RAF North Weald in 1933, what was regularly flown by Sgt. Leslie Stephen Holman, who later became Wing Commander. It even wears the same registration number (K-2227).

And description of the accident can be found here: https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/202342

    Cheers,
    Huub

AH Bristol Bulldog Swedish Air Force 1931

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Military skins - World War II

Description: This is a repaint for the ex-payware Aeroplane Heaven Bristol Bulldog for FS2004. The repaint depicts a Bristol J7 from the Swedish Air Force. Developed from a private venture of 1927, the Bristol Bulldog was to see service in several variants around the world. Sweden bought 11 of the type, giving it the designation of J7. It was not a successful design in Swedish service with nine of the type being lost in accidents, the other two being donated to the Finnish Air Force in the late 1939. This repaint is based on a painting by Roger H. Middlebrook.

    Enjoy,

I'm very interested in the FSX version of the Bulldog! Is it available? MCX magic at play here? Your repaints look great Huub! I really would love to fly around with your 1931 Swedish AF repaint...
