    Luftwaffe post war font

    Hi,

I'm looking to find the name and or downloadable font of the font type used by the West German Luftwaffe on their Starfighters. Any help is much appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Hi JensOle, try this first

In some decades, the white frame of signs and numbers have a greater white shape, but this is easyly to do with these. And there you will find more - perhaps use google and luftwaffe fonts...

Thanks for the link! I'll check it out. Believe me, I have googled it for hours. I have not found any font which matches the font used on early german starfighters.

These are .cdr files... how do you open them?

    Gaucho,

.cdr files are files in Coral Draw format. From what I know there aren't that many programs which will open them. However there are free Coral draw viewers in which you can view them (and of which you can make a screenshot).

    Cheers,

My good and old PSP7 opens the files with no problem. The resolution i got was 764x1074, don't know if that is the original resolution.

Another work-around is to download a 15-day trial of CorelDraw, open the .cdr file and save as a .pdf. There's enough definition for most practical purposes. The nearest font is one of the Mittelschrift series, though the 6 and 9 are wrong. If you can't be bothered I've done it...!
