    C-123K Provider X

    Vlad's C-123K, FSX native format.

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bym...ew?usp=sharing

BETA- VC is mostly on placeholders- no clickspots, anyway; still looks good. External complete, changes to door assignments, payload visibility conditions, airdrop pallets added on droppable objects condition, see readme. LAPES loads and air-drop loads modeled as droppable objects- 2 LOD for chute deploy, chute disapears on ground, load stays put unless you've exceeded ft/sec rate. Airdrop pallet needs FDE work on decent rate, though...
Figure this 'ill go nice with that new Khe Sanh scenery.
    Merry Christmas from Typhoon Alley.

Doesn't the freeware SOH Tigercat use that sound set?

I just took it out for a short flight. I love it! It'll be awesome when the VC is clickable.

Thank you! I loved this plane in FS9, and will fly the crap out of it in FSX!

Good work, check out the FS9 repaints by SteveB here in our library, works just fine in FSX, i think only the prop texture needs to be swap'd out.

    cheers ian

Wow , very surprised and have been hoping for a native C-123 for years . Many thanks for one of my favorite twin cargo props . Use to see many of these in and out of Danang in 67 . Looking forward to some of our panel gurus doing their magic with this classic .

Thanks again , planning on putting some serious hours in this beauty .

Thanks indeed for this it really is great. The air drop is particularly enjoyable and immersive... get it wrong and the crate shatters.

Good to hear it's working! Eventually, I'll have to shove this one through and put on spec maps, see if it will do bump maps and finish assigning switches.
I had been doodling with the LAPES pallet, but didn't fly it after revision; I'm told the chute isn't disappearing. It's on a forward velocity condition, so I've cut the ground translation stability too much getting the pallet to slide, I suppose it's creping slightly and needs that value adjusted, if anyone is fiddling with that. The air and ground stability values bear looking at in in general. If I can sort out which does what, it's another potential dropped object motion solution. I had the air drop crate circling at 800kts and accelerating vertically at 1440 kts...interesting.

It's very cool that this aircraft is being updated for FSX....and great timing too.

It will be very exciting to resupply Khe Sanh via LAPES while under fire in the FSX@War Southeast Asia theater.

It looks great as is, but adding bump and spec maps opens up great possibilities as far as surface detailing and metal finishes.

    WWhere can we find this

    Hi,

I would also like to get this aircraft in P3Dv4....
Anyone has a download link? Google drive says file is trashed...
Many thanks in advance for replying.

I don't know what ever happened to this airplane. It was in a rough "Beta" version even when it was released 4 years ago and I haven't seen or heard anything about it since. Placeholders in the VC and nothing clickable or animated if I remember right (in the VC).

I have Vlads version which is quite nice and everything works in FSX. It's not Native FSX of course but I had no problems in FSX and I even flew it quite a bit in P3D_V4.5
