    Montauk Scenery

    Hi all
Happy Holidays and thanks to everyone who makes this such a great hobby. I have just downloaded and installed Montauk into the latest Prepar3D and while it looks absolutely great I have found several trees across the runway and taxiway. The installation as always is easy and straightforward so I can't think what I may have done incorrectly. I have no exotic global scenery, mesh or terrain and just some standard freeware add-on airports including the recent Block Island which looks very nice.
    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Warren, I found this to be a problem with other scenery I have done as well. Trees showing up where there are no trees placed. I place the trees using the SDK Annotator, so virtually every tree is hand placed and I pay special attention to trees along runways or taxiways because of the previous problems I've seen with other sceneries of mine. If you can post a pic of the offending trees I can try to move them in the annotator and send you a new set of "agn" files to place in your texture folder. If you have a working knowledge of ADE or SBX you can use "excludes" to knock them out.

    Hi
Thanks for replying. Afraid I fail on both counts. Not sure how to attach a photo with this (fairly) new machine and I have only limited knowledge of ADE. I'll work on the photo part and see what I can do. The scenery including the trees is gorgeous but there will be some additional metal in one particular grove if I attempt to use the runway. I know it's not specific enough but if you leave the hangar and turn right the grove in question appears about 2/3 down the runway and taxiway - not sure of the runway numbering.
In any case for now thanks for all the great work and Happy Holidays!

Tree lined taxi way looks nice but not really enough clearance for my Pilatus (had a building crash after landing and taxiing back). Doh!

Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

Excellent Warren. I may not get to it today, but I'm going to thin out the trees along the rwy and taxiways and post a new set of "agn" files. Hopefully that will correct the issue.

expat, I'm like you it seems, I also crank my autogen up to very dense and the trees are a problem for the larger aircraft so hopefully the replacement "agn" files will help.

    Hi again
Given my airmanship skills I should request "extra wide" clearance.
    Thanks
    Warren
