If you find out which entries got added to the default.xml and terrain.cfg, you can just as well copy them into their FSX counterparts and see if it works.

Note: If you're not afraid of .cfg editing, you can make this work with UT yourself, as the author has convieniently annotated his added entries in the terrain.cfg.
