That's odd, link is working for me, although I went to the link in the sticky thread above. :dizzy: Check your pop-up blocker settings etc.
Cracker of a screenshot, Major, and a terrific model it is too! :applause::applause::applause:
I think this is the beauty you mean? Magnifique! :applause:

Paint.NET works with and saves as .tiff files. It's also free. I'm a Photoshop user myself (very old version), but sometimes Paint.NET gets me out of a hole.

Looking very sharp, Joost, ‘tis a labour of love. :applause:
Looks a lot better now than that photo from Poona, I've waited a long time to see her in flight. Hopefully a Mk.V will also make it back into the air some day and I'll get to hear a Sabre used in...
Much too young, I'm really sorry to hear this. My condolences particularly to his family, Beau was a big part of the CFS3 scene for many years and a greatly valued collaborator.
As some of you will know, I have a soft spot for the Hawker Tempest Mk.II and discovered this in my YouTube feed tonight. Magnificent! I can feel the compulsion to visit a Duxford air show again......
The limit is texture vertices, iirc. Gmax will export a model of more than 200,000 vertices as long as they’re not all mapped to a single texture, or not textured at all. There’s a MaxScript command...
If you need recommendations for places to see in England, I'm sure we can oblige! :wavey:
That's good to know, and noted for future reference! :encouragement:
You may need to install/reinstall DirectX 9.0c (June 2010).

Hope this helps. :wavey:
A single dual magneto? Errr… The Griffon used a BTH CSH12-12S/4 dual magneto which afaik has each magneto on a separate drive shaft. Rolls-Royce for some reason forgot that precaution with a later...
You’ve been busy, Ted! I do like 3D cockpit details, that’s shaping up well and I’m with Frosty: Wellington without a doubt.
Alfred Price (The Spitfire Story) explains the F.21 problems as being of over-control:–
LA187 was the first production F.21 and its problems were common among the early aircraft, including...
Aha! I know that Mk.21 well… :encouragement:
Fascinating, Ted! The aftermath of war's hardware, cluttered together in various states of repair. I wonder how many of these aircraft were actually still airworthy?
It's fun all right, and games...
Something we all learn, often the hard way, is to map before doing keyframe animations, because a Reset XForm should be applied to all objects before mapping to...
Remember to link the spring tabs to their respective ailerons in the model hierarchy, just like you link each aileron to its respective wing.
Animating spring-tab ailerons is easy, just align the pivots of each to match orientation of the aileron pivot in question, but pointing the opposite direction, and name each as another aileron. The...
How’s it shaping up with the wing fillet underside? That’s a very characteristic area for any Spit.
With a high Max:Static ratio, the undercarriage is not going to be at the rest position at frame 75, but before it - by quite a way if the ratio is especially high. OTOH, a low ratio means the rest...
Compare the movement of the P47 aircraft in the video you linked earlier with these figures. The maximum deflection specified seems plausible but the movement visible in the video seems more than...
Tyres can be made to apparently compress just by making the suspension travel in the contact points a little longer than the animated movement. The tyre sinks slightly into the ground and looks like...
