Just wanted to say thank you to all involved in the campaign addon for Pat's BoB expansion. Wonderful work and works like a charm.No problems to report other than i had a shader related problem. Re-installed AnKor's shaders and all worked fine . Well worth taking the time to install ! Will keep me busy for quite some time. The most interesting era in WWII to me. I'm in heaven ! Regards,Scott
Thanks for the feedback, Scott! I'm really enjoying flying as an Axis bomber pilot at the moment. The main GL option is used. One quirk of CFS3 is that no bomber pilot histories have been made up AFAIK. So I fly the He-111 as a German fighter ace, lol. Most of my Axis bomber missions end up with a pursuing group of RAF fighters, slowly nibbling away at my bomber flight. I'm usually busy on a tail gun keeping the RAF away from my aircraft. Lots of very short bursts seem to do the trick. The RAF lose interest as we cross the French coast, but I've often lost half of my flight by then. Unfortunately my German escort struggles with the RAF interceptors, there is still a disparity in performance, I think the flight envelopes should be roughly equal so I've tried to introduce more AI RAF aircraft for spawning, with a bit more weight added.
The only bugbear with the Axis bomber campaign is when you end up as an airbase as the mission target. I can never get to the 100% damage point, to make the mission successful, so the campaign is set back a bit.
Going as a Luftwaffe pilot.Forgot how much fun a dynamic campaign can be.Now that i'm complete with all the expansions,some custom ones,and updating with all the files over the past two years i'm ready to dive into some missions and a campaign or two.
