View Full Version : DP File Gun Trigger 4???

Hi all
I was wondering where the flak exposions were on the ships that I have recently made.
I think the solution is having 3inch/75mm guns with the gun set to Guns Trigger set to 4???
I previously had them set to 0 gun.
Any feedback on this would be handy.

Gun type codes
0 - 303 mg (303gun.wav)
1 - 7.92 mg (792gun.wav)
2 - 50 cal mg (50gun.wav)
3 - 13mm mg (13gun.wav)
4 - 20 mm cannon (20can.wav)
5 - 30 mm cannon (30can.wav)
6 - 40 mm cannon (40can.wav)

Stuart is talking about the triggers. 4 ??? in DP is needed for flak cloulds.

On the subject of sounds. There are more sound that can be used. You can hand edit the DP to use 7 and 8. These make large slow firing sound good for Arty or large Flak guns. 13 is 2 round quick fire Flak sound.

I have been meaning to edit the DPED.ini to include these sound as some others that can be used as well as add in a bunch more "CFS doesn't care" The stock DPED.ini only goes up to "-10 CFS doesn't care" but some stock ships use up to -50 or more in the [PARTS] Catagory.

CFS doesn't care is just a part name. I really need to upload fixes/a new version of DPED. DPED also had a translation error. The Trigger and Spec need to be swapped.

I've added every sound that works from the Cockpit (2d panel, HUD, No Hud and VC) and from the exterior views.

Sounds that work are.

7=7 xai_127guna
8=8 xai_127gunb
9=9 xai_20gun
10=10 xai_30gun
11=11 xai_37guna
12=12 xai_37gunb
13=13 xai_40gun
14=14 xai_50gun

Attaching is new DPED.exe and DPED.INI.

DPED.exe that has the Trigger and Spec text swapped. This fixes a translation error that "FlyMan"/Yusaku Homma made when translating from japanese.

DPED.INI now has up to -60 CFS doesn't care (was only -10 CFS doesn't care). This is needed as some CFS2 ships have around 50+ CFS dosen't care parts. SHA_ESSEX_CV9 used up to -53 CFS doesn't care. Editing the stock SHA_ESSEX_CV9 with stock DPED will like cause a crash as DPED with remove -11 CFS doesn't care to -53 CFS doesn't care and place no number in the line can cause a CTD when the part reaches 0 hit points.

Also added some new sounds. 7 xai_127guna and 8 xai_127gunb are also used by stock CFS2 ships. Other guns sound are also added.

I'm not added any thing new. The sounds that I added to [SOUND] list come stock with CFS2. You also can't add custom sounds like you can effects. I'm not going to add any custom effects but will check the effects list to make sure that all of the stock effects are in DPED.
