3 weeks ago I got a letter from Bright house with a nice deal on 100MB internet for $35

I called WOW my provider and they agreed to match it sort of, only 66 MB's for $35
I said ok,

today I got my bill lol for $95, I got pissed and called them, and got the run a round real bad, they lied and tried to convince me it is all my fault, I told them I would return their crap tomorrow.
I also told them where the bear took a crap and thats where their $95 will be found and hung up.
:encouragement:
I called Bright house and wed afternoon I will be re-setup with internet. 100 MB's for $35.

they offered 200 MB for $50, I passed on this.

they musta thought I am too old to count, why would I agree to pay a lot more $95 for less 66 MB's, and why would I agree to stay with a lot less (2/3 less 35 MB's) for the same $ 35

I cut the poor Verizon standard DSL service that I've had for eons to save myself about $45/month in DSL charges, taxes and fees.
I took WOW up on their 30MB Internet service for $25/month for a 12-month contract. I purchased a used Motorola SurfBoard modem on EBay that is DOCSIS 3.0 standard (OoooooK!!), is Wi-Fi and firewall-equipped and this set-up works fine so far.

I also bought a "smart" TV under Wal-mart's 12-month interest-free loan policy that I'm paying for in 12 equal installments. The 30 MB stream and modem should feed that also. I'm cutting the Bright House cord for Basic+Extra cable (70 channels) that now costs $94.00/month. I've had enough !!!:rocket:

Anybody have any experience with one of these ?

Hi Mr. Larson,

I looked over your bill and there were some partial month charges from the downgrade. I credited the account of partial month charges and your new total for this bill is $38.11. Going forward your bill will be $42.00.

I am very sorry for the confuse on the billing. If you have any other questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Thank you

101MB/s is something I can only dream about. Our previous Government was in the process of constructing a National Broadband Network which was to be fibre to the premises with download speeds of 125MB/s. However they were defeated by the Conservatives (similar to your Republicans) in 2013 who completely stuffed it. Instead of FTTP they decided on fibre to the node with copper wire to the premises. It has now reached my area and I must sign on to it as my phone and internet will not work unless I do.

The changeover for me will be completed next Tuesday. In their advertising we are being told we will be getting a SUPER FAST 12MB/s download speed. But if I had chosen the more expensive provider owned by Rupert Murdoch and Foxtel I would be able to get 100MB/s. My current phone/internet costs me $118 a month but the Foxtel one would have been up around $200 a month.
