Hi everyone

hope you have all recovered from the late seasonal excesses - the news is that the UncleBaldy joint workshop are uploading two versions of the Mitsubishi K3M3 Pine - that is the standard K3M3 trainer and the K3M3L transport aircraft

this a/c was actually designed by Herbert Smith of Sopwith in 1930 and served with IJN Air Service 1932 -45 with some even being used in the immediate post war years ( but information is sparse on this topic otherwise UncleTgt would be doing textures for it ). There are also claims that a few were built as or converted to floatplanes I found no evidence of this, otherwise we'd have built one of those as well - if someone can turn up a photo or drawing showing floats send it to me and we'll add a third.

Are you chaps in the process of publishing a new collection of rare and mostly unknown Japanese aircraft?

I never saw this one before, it's never too late to learn something new!

I hope the FS9 guys are suitably jealous - we now have several "exotic" JAP ww2 planes that were made specifically for CFS2 by Baldy. I don't know of any other Flight sim that has the K11W, E14Y & K3M ...:redfire:

Now we can represent the "rear area" airbase traffic & occupants. No more just shooting up the same 1st line JAP aircraft...:rocket:

Baldy,

I second UncleTgt's observation. I love a lot of the rare birds you've done!

A neat little animation Baldy did with the K3M3 trainer model is that if you use the Spoiler Key (usually "D"), the instructor pops up out of the hatch ahead of the rear gun position :cheerful:
