I've been thinking about the Lisunov Li-2 for quite a while... Is anyone willing to make a Li-2 Based after the stock C-47?

And with all of the civil planes airliners for CFS2, i wondered if anyone is willing to make an Aeroflot paint scheme?

Paul Rebuffat made one. You can download it at Simviation :

Thanks, Roxane-21.

I already have it.

I was actually thinking of a cfs2 model for the Li-2 maybe based after the fs9 dc-3.

Remaking the FS2004 DC-3 is just too much work for me.

I did rebuild the stock CFS2 C-47 and gave it the VC of the FS2004 DC-3 but the lack of lack of interest ment I never put it out and ended up converting it to a AC-47 for the Vietnam project.

The I still have the source for the rebuild stock CFS2 C-47 I did and it could be converted to a Li-2 and a Japanese L2D Tabby.

There is a conversion kit for the FDG C-47 / DC-3 in the library; Sopwith Chameleon did the conversion. I will provide the link when I get home.

I already have that one, Rami, even though it is not in my aircraft folder of cfs2.

Well, Allen, how about making the li-2 out of the c-47?
I understand that cfs2 based after fs2004 is too much.

It is just too much work to get the FS2004 DC-3 rebuilt with breaking parts.

The rebuild the stock CFS2 C-47 I already did shouldn't be too much work to get convered to a Li-2.

2 Screenshot of the rebuild C-47 before it became a AC-47 Gunship.

I'm going to have also do the L2D Tabby a Japanese licensed copy of the DC-3/C-47 like they Li-2 but the L2D will take some more work than the Li-2 as the Tabby has some changes done in the cockpit that I will have to come up with a way to make happen.

Hard work and sleepless nights.

One more just about out of the factory.

L2D1 Model 11 "Tabby"

I think this will replace the current L2D Tabby I have uploaded that used the OH C47 model. I still have to make the damage texture but other than that it is ready.

There is a problem I would like to address with your l2d2 tabby. when i press the auto startup key (E), the engines automatically shuts down on its own.

I can't figure it out, but i think it is a throttle issue.

Is there a way you can fix it, Allen?

Allen
January 24th, 2016, 13:12
Try the below .air and let me know if that works for you. If it dose I will update the download with it.

BvA,

just installed her to check this out - I don't see the same issue at all - fires up fine for me. I suggest you check your throttle/joystick calibration/ set points.:ambivalence:

I corrected the additional windows I painted in for a late-model "Tabby".

Search for Task Force Gremlin & the French in Indo-China & you'll begin to see the story of this unusually marked plane.

I know doing the later L3 or L4 may have been more liked but the cockpit bing moved back the 40+ inches so that the whole crew was in the same compartment was just wasn't really know to me. Tring to make the FS2004 DC3 fit 4 with out knowing any dtails woul have been a pain in the rear...

UncleTgt
February 14th, 2016, 23:55
Allen, the -2 is just fine, & no criticism intended.:icon_redface: It's just that it was only after I posted my first screenshots that I realised I hadn't painted on enough windows ...

Hi Uncle - you planning on uploading those repaints anytime soon ?

UncleTgt
February 15th, 2016, 01:43
Hiya Baldy,

I'm just completing a few more. I'm kind of working back through time with this set - I started with the French Tabby, which was a hand-me down from the RAF's Gremlin Taskforce, which made use of an overpainted Jap Tabby with surrender markings, which was Green & Grey before the end of the war ...:running:

I know that. I just wanted others to know why I went with the early L2D2. Also for the window you should be able to put a box on the texture using the RGB of 91,91,91 and use DTX3 texture so you can set the transparency of the window at 50%. This should let your 3rd window blend in with the normal windows.

UncleTgt
February 15th, 2016, 12:57
Allen,

Thanks for the steer with the transparency matching.

Your welcome. Those are the settings I used for the glass in gMax and should any 3rd window close in CFS2. The Tan and Green looks like the the aircraft I used as a base for the L2D2 and wanted to make but just said :censored: it and went with a basic green texture.
