Request anyone out there to please do a repaint of the Piper J3 ( Navy NE). This is what my Dad started his primary/intermediate flight training back in '43.
He passed away this past July and I have his Navy flight logbooks and this plane was one that he started out with at Houston TX.
In his Pilot rating book it states N.C. number as 34928 Make of aircraft Interstate (I never heard of that one) model S1A but I'm sure he was in the Piper NE5

Thanks. :santahat:

This is where my Dad would of taken his Basic/Intermediate training ('43) then went on to Bunker Hill Indiana. He got in on the Navy V5 program were enlisted types
could become pilots. It was phased out after the war ended.

I went over there and didn't see one like in my pics. I did post a request over there. Thanks.

We'll see what kind of luck I have over there. :santahat:
