Some WIP current progress shots. Glad also to say the Steve Meyers will be joining the project as we go forward

Looking forward to this release.
My wife says I have no funds for computer "games" until February at the earliest, so no need to hurry this one through on my account:biggrin-new:
Besides, I'm still flying your Davis D-1 only with the Kinner, need time to move over to the Warner before the next new thing comes out...

The Ryan SCW has an interesting wing shape, highly tapered. The plans show 3 degrees tip washout, which is required to help prevent tip stalling. I built a 1/4 scale, radio-controlled SCW and used 4 1/2 degrees of washout just to be safe (smaller models, operating at lower Reynolds numbers, tend to be less stable than full-scale planes). My understanding is that the full-scale SCW has good flying qualities. Looking forward to the simulated version!

While hard to appreciate in the pictures shown, in our model, we've modeled the washout as specified in the plans. We are attempting to model the FD to reflect the stall characteristics visually it looks quite nice as the wing twists from tip to root. It is indeed a beautiful airfoil.
