“I have a dark room and I still process film but digital photography can be a totally lying kind of experience,” McCullin said. “You can move anything you want in it. The whole thing can’t be trusted really.”

I saw this article quite some time ago and have to agree that digital photographs are very hard to trust.
Then again, regular film photographs can be manipulated also; it is just a matter of how many people are skilled enough to do it in a way that passes scrutiny.

Does it bother me? Not really.

It is the same with Internet publications.
Print books took more infrastructure to produce and were more expensive. As such, the amount of review was much greater.
Web pages require very little to produce and also have much less review.
Are they as reliable on the average? No.
But because they are so easy to create, there is a LOT of content we can find today that would have stayed buried in the closet of some old soldier's widow or headed to the landfill if he has no survivors.
