Anyone ever made incendiaries for B-29 raids? Aside from wrapping up phase 1 of CFS CVE campaign, I am learning about flying the B-29 etc, challenging but fun.Def want to make some changes to DP and hopefully find some fire bombs for future missions.

A bomb that looks incendiaries could be made but it will use one of the stock explosions.

The TM 9-1980 Tech Manual says it list incendiaries (in the Chem Bomb section) and cluster incendiaries http://www.avialogs.com/viewer/avialogs-documentviewer.php?id=15738

I've been working one the ones for the Lancaster. Which ones did we use for the B-29's?

I found out the that B-29s used M-69 bombs and M-47 bombs but I can't find out info on the clam shell case that the M-69 bombs where packed.

I got a bit more on the M-47 but still lacking some things.

This also may be of use to the Vietnam mod as I saw some mounted to A-1 Skyraider but those bombs had a yellow band around them.

Here is the DP change I made to add the bombs.Placement looks fine to me but issue is when in flight, wont let me select or drop the M-47.See the cause?

Do you know how to make the fires from the bombs last a while, to simulate a firestorm caused by the inc? I tried changing the lifespan in the fx files used by the 100 lb inc but did not work.

This is where we have to get creative. I'm looking at making some fire boxes. basicaly an alpha-ed cube that we can add the effects to.

I think its the targets themselves that will have to be adjusted. If you get an idea let me know. I've been tinkering with it for the past year.

I do think we have an effects limit. In other words, how many can be active at once. Its something we'll have to test.
