Can't help you with the scenery, but I had a good friend here last week - was spose to pull the series out and watch it again but anyway, I have the entire "Thunderbird" lunchbox limited collection set :adoration: ... So real , Its amazing how they tied the strings on to the actors, and gawd , last time I heard off Virgil , someone spotted him off to the pit in the back off a dumpster, ... what a way to go !

Keith McNeill (http://www.keithmcneill.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/3c.html) does some remarkable space modelling, including subjects in the vein of Thunderbirds and other
Gerry Anderson productions.

I especially like his Thunderbird 1 launch bay...

I can go further back than that, I'm afraid.
Who else remembers "Torchy the Battery Boy" or "Four Feather Falls"?

Anything can happen in the next 1/2 hour.

Too late.....

If you can remember the 60s, you weren't there.

My mom and dad always said I was a big fan of Torchy but strangely enough.. I don't really remember it.

Ian Murray of Scotflight did some of the aircraft for Fireball xl5 and thunderbirds but I think they may have been as far back as FS98.....................

EDIT: xl5_11.zip (http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=37693) From flightsim.com
FS98/2000

PS, Ian only did the included scenery. I'm now getting to the age..................

Ha! Those were very nicely done and quite imaginative. Loved the Eagle boneyard and the TIE fighter cockpit relegated to a flatbed trailer.
Be nice if they included my all time favourite sci-fi spacecraft, the Aires 1-B lunar shuttle from 2001...

One Gerry Anderson production that often doesn't get mentioned is his live action feature film, "Journey To The Far Side Of The Sun" (aka "Doppelganger in the UK and Europe) starring Roy Thinnes and Patrick Wymark. It's based on the old notion that the planet Earth had a twin occupying the same orbit as Earth but directly on the opposite side of the Sun, thereby rendering it permanently undetectable, but in the film it is detected by a European Space Exploration Council (EUROSEC) remote probe and eventually a manned mission is launched to explore it. On crash landing on the world, astronaut Glenn Ross (Thinnes) finds to to be an exact but mirror image to that of Earth peopled by the very same people in his own life, who are convinced that he is in fact THEIR Colonel Ross sent to explore Earth on an identical mission launched at the same time. Far-fetched, obviously, but an "OK time waster" as they say. And the models and sets displayed Anderson's typical genius...
