Want to use GodMode? Here's how.
Right click on your Windows 10 desktop screen. Create a new folder and give it this exact name: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}. It'll create a GodMode icon. Just click on that to start customizing the Windows 10 OS.

Thanks!

But a piece of warning: some of the things that we find annoying about Windows (whatever flavour) are there for a reason, namely security. God mode is indeed handy for modding and stuff, but it also makes your rig more vulnerable to attacks of all kinds.

Cheers,

Johan

I named it this
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}.
and now the computer is locked up

Did some quick reading on it, and apparently on some 64 bit systems, there are problems.

Um, is the trailing period (}.) part of the folder name, or was it simply an end of sentence marker?

FYI that same code works in W7 64 too.

Strikes me that Win 10 is already "god" mode, and god lives in Redmond/

I had a mouse button problem, even changed meese's lol and still had problem, deleted folder and walla it all was fixed

There have been some reports that using <prefix>.{<GUID>} folders may cause unexpected results or repeated crashes, particularly with 64-bit Windows Vista versions.[citation needed] In 64-bit Vista, creating a GodMode folder will cause Explorer to repeatedly crash and restart, requiring that the user boot into Safe Mode to delete the folder.

Ok, I have held off upgrading to Windows 10 from Win 7 so far. I'm always wary of upgrades.

Do y'all think it's safe to make the jump? Am NOT doing a clean install. NC

Not much help probably, but I did an upgrade on my recent (8 month old) laptop with W8.1 that already had FS9 & FSX loaded as well as Office 2010, Gmax AirED AAM , psp7 & Opera. All worked well, only had to update Herve sors AFSD from V 3 to V4.34.
Wifes Laptop, about 3 years old, with W7 french version, conversion to English went well there too, having created a USB ISO from my d/l. She though only had a few old solitaire games that no longer work on W10, but there are newer versions out there that she says are different!
So yes I find it easier to manage and select/deselect running programs, it seems to have a more non computer literate person interface. The Wifes loads quicker, but I cant really say the its any quicker over W8.1.
Keith

P.S. Am leaving my tower running W8.1 enterprise as it is, satisfied with it as it is.
