Can CSF3 aircraft be converted to work in FSX? There's some great freeware downloads here I'd like in FSX.

No, the model format is totally different.

Like Dave says. Furthermore, although the .mdl formats for FS9, FSX and P3D are well understood (and can be read by ModelConverterX) the .m3d format for CFS3 never has been analysed. Or if anyone ever did they didn't admit it publicly.

How easy/difficult is it to convert a CFS2 model to FSX e.g. with Model Converter X? There are some good ship as well as aircraft that would make good moving AI or static models e.g. for WWII or Korea scenarios.

Converting CFS2 models to FSX is quite easy! After fixing the usual suspects (transparecies etc) they even look quite decent.

Our member Erik (Hertzie) did a lot of them.

Cheers,
