just one bug in the beginning - flashes/shines if You want to change a view (S, A). It was in one version of B model too.

Never saw that during testing. Might it be related to a particular video card type?
YoYo, is this flashing in FSX or P3D, or both?

Out of town so can't even look at the final release it until next week. :-(

Merry Christmas,
Bud
If you read the manual you won't find any mention of the cannons at all. It is a PDF file so you can do a quick search if you prefer not to read the whole thing. There is also no TacPack support.

To change the external weapons you select a different aircraft. You can adjust the external tanks being carried. Other than the rocket motor housing there is no physical external difference between any of the aircraft models. The only visible changes are in the external weapons. The textures can be moved among the various models (ie. weapons loads) by simply editing the "model=" line in the "aircraft.cfg" file.

There are no external tank options on the clean model ('Alsace' marking if I recall correctly). If you want an aircraft with no external weapons but do want fuel tanks you can eject the visible weapons using the buttons under the yellow/black cover plate on the lower front of the main panel.

Unfortunately I also noticed that there is no smoke and afterburner flame

I had this discussion with the Restauravia folks before and we agree that the average Atar 9 visible Afterburner flame appears to be most visible within the nozzle/burner can section in most daylight conditions but obviously this would be different during low light & night time conditions. Regarding the smoke discharge, the Mirage III's Atar seems quite smokeless compared to other engines of it's age and class which to me indicates they have good/efficient combustion but then again, this is hard to gauge because some videos show a light to very faint amount of smoke at different power settings to none at all.

OK, first four paints are on OZx (http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=user_activity&search_app=downloads&mid=750), two from Oz, one from South Africa and an imaginary dutchman, which I adjusted a bit:

http://i722.photobucket.com/albums/ww230/jcblom60/Mirage/ss14942.jpg (http://s722.photobucket.com/user/jcblom60/media/Mirage/ss14942.jpg.html)

now I'm off to see the family...

Stickshaker
December 26th, 2014, 04:51
Regarding the comments on the landings, I actually was surprised how (relatively) easy they are. That is to say: making a good landing is difficult (as always), but making a safe landing (and needing a bit more runway that the book says) is in my view much easier than with., for example, the SSW F-104 or the Milviz F-4E. The engine and control surfaces react much quicker and more precise than I would expect from a 1960’s aircraft, and the AoA-indicator makes it relatively easy to keep the speed more or less within acceptable limits. I even wonder whether the flight model of this aircraft, which is already one of my favorites, makes flying not a bit too easy compared to the real thing. What is particularly difficult about the landings? Perhaps I do not set my norms for precision high enough, for I am certainly not an ace pilot. And, granted, I have turbulence activated but have not yet tried crosswinds.<o:p></o:p>

tail was already done, so that was easy, now find out where all the bits and pieces of the camo scheme are..

Great paint JanKees - beat me to it..! I thought the Aussie camo scheme usually had no roundels on the top of the wing. Could be wrong; I know there was a fair bit of variation and experimenting with schemes though.

http://www.fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2015/01/17/rLjM.jpgThe Swiss Air Force, used really only one Mirage IIIC for evaluation and tests (including firing rockets and dropping bombs over Axalp shooting range), basis for the further purchase of the own-version Mirage IIIS. Its registration was J-2201 and flew for the GDA Emmen (Now Armasuisse), a departement of the Air Force, from 1962 to 1978. Today it's conserved in a museum in Dübendorf, near Zurich.
Only one thing isn't exact: the font of the registration, if someone can say me which it was used in real, it will be very helpful.

I hope you like it.

I'd love to see a Swiss Mirage III RS with canards like these:

Skysim has a Mirage III RS variant (without canards), or a III S variant with canards (but with regular non-RS nose). Restauravia has only the sleek III C version... But I could settle for any of those with such a funky paint scheme!

The Mirage IIIRS by Beat "Isra" Schaffner for FS9/FSX includes this version with canards and this scheme.

The update to the Skysim Mirage III/5 released in February 2009 also included a IIIRS with canards. Bertrand Barbe was working on a repaint in that scheme.

I wouldn't mind post a public link, but since the first thing you see in cockpit's hud,
is Restauravia's message about downloading the plane, I'm not sure if Rest. guys
will be ok with this, so check your PMs plz.
