All existing ETO aicrafts have been updated and a couple of new ones have been included.

All these beauties come along with something like 200+ new missions, all eras and mission types are covered.

The hard work of Rob (Capt. Winters) Stevenson in putting all this together:

ETO 1.50 aircraft update package 2014.

Below are the details of which plane sets have been updated fixing various issues, and standardising pilot views. And standardising aircraft display names in game. Contributor List at end of List.

There have also been several extra aircraft added. See below for details.

Shared textures
Replaced duplicate textures that had inconsistent images with the correct image for each texture. Example damage_RAF.dds is found in several locations in game but they had different images painted in causing random changes in game and misaligned textures on aircraft when damaged.

AI aircraft
set a selection of AI aircraft to type 1 which allows them to be selected as enemy targets when flying quick combat missions.
These planes are not meant to be piloted by the player. They have ~ at the start of their name in the aircraft lists, which places them at the end of the line in each country designation.
They also have a message “AI only not be flown, select as target only” included in the description in game.

Bf109 aircraft (19 planes modified in total)
In some of the 109E aircraft there was a mix up with VC model files, this meant that you would see armor plate behind the pilots head when flying from the VC but the outside view would show the model without pilot armor. I went through and placed the correct VC model into each of the 109-E aircraft in game

some of the E-1 aircraft where using skins that were meant for E-3 aircraft which meant you had the bulges for cannon painted in under the wing on the E-1 but no actual bulges modelled into the wing.

Standardised VC views (all work with TrakIR)
1. normal view (close to windscreen)
2. instrument view
3. wide view.
Changed short names to “type – unit- date” format. This means that all the 109 types display in alphabetical order, starting with the E types and going through to the K model.

Added in historical description for each plane.
Changed entry and exit dates to match the time frame of the unit depicted by the paint scheme.

Added in two extra aircraft: Hptn. Werner 'Vati' Molders and Oblt. Werner Lederer. Both for the May-June period 1940. (textures by John Whelan)

Since my five installs of ETO (one for each era because I could never get the switcher to work properly) are all highly modified (i.e. every aircraft hex edited to work with shine enabled in Win 7, and AnKor's mod), it looks like I'm going to to have an interesting time sorting all these changes out...

Question for the ETO team.

Will the spawn selector that I have made for the BoB Campaigns in ETO be compatible with v1.50?
It was modified from the spawn selector in v1.40.

Also. I am offering Regshanger.net (http://www.regshanger.net) and mrjmaint's CFS3 (http://www.mrjmaint.com/CFS3/) as a download location for the new version files.

Thanks.

These Avengers.. ETO 1.50
Perhaps you could help and G max a new prop texture and share it with everyone..
That would be really nice.
And most welcomed I do believe.

It was just something I have noticed from before, I appreciate all the work they are doing with ETO. Besides I worked with the original "Rats" with MAW, that's enough for me! I enjoyed all the friendships I made back then, Ed, Mat, Luca, John and the rest of the original crew. Those were great times back then. But it can wear on you after a while. Everyone moves on.

Hello,
perhaps you should consider returning to the Team work in CFS3, I know who you both are, eddie and Six ghost are from the past. Ton recruited me 5 years ago for this. I was around back in the day when the W40 and DPC and MAW groups were together but wasn't involved, when Ton(Foute man) recruited me I was thrilled at the chance to give back to all who had blessed me with their efforts.
And working with the Masters has been a wonderful experience. The men around back in the day before SOH ( then CombatFS, and the RAF 662 and AV History got started) I was there then. I always appreciated the Masters and their efforts made for everyone. But as I said wasn't involved. I still speak with Ton almost daily on Facebook. and are truly Grateful that he recruited me, it has been and is a wonderful experience to get to know these Masters.
And as said: good men are hard to find sometimes.
Give it a thought.
have a great day,
HouseHobbit

Loaded into ETO 1.40 Which you must have installed,
My set up is nearly 9 GIG! Virgin set up. with ETO 1.50 loaded.
It is amazing what the Masters have done.

:kilroy:To all,

Right now, it looks like the ETO 1.50 download will be between 1.04 GB and 1.08 GB.

Nothing is chiseled in stone at this exact moment, as there can be variances in everything.
As of now, we're checking and fixing, getting ready for Christmas.

:D

Looks awesome!

Just out of curiosity, have the airfields in France and other countries been updated too?

Aris WOFF HD Cloud Textures.rar (http://www.overflandersfields.com/Downloads/3rd%20Party/Aris%20WOFF%20HD%20Cloud%20Textures.rar)
V1.3

Notification of the enhancement was just posted on this CFS3 forum. Apparently, it was designed for WOFF and works well in ETO. Since the details of 1.5 are not available I was wondering if the development team considered including this enhancement in 1.5?
