Does anybody here have a clear picture of the logo inside the yellow circle?

Thanks,
Huub

I don't know about the arch piece, but the actual center of it certainly looks like this -

- most of these planes did have Wright engines in them

Hey Huub, Take a look at this link, It looks like US Navy Wings of Gold.

http://beech17.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/12334-at-Buchanan-Field-Concord-1946-11-20-by-William-T-Larkins-d.jpg

While you're on that link if you move down you'll see that the page notes that aircraft carried the NATS (Naval Air Transport Service) badge on the nose and Terminal Island on the fuselage.

Here ya go.

Don thanks for your input as well, but as you can see below Steve's answer was the correct one.

Has the repaint below already been done? Or is there anybody who (still) would like to have it?

Cheers,
Huub

I'd like your repaint Huub. I have the aircraft and with a new panel texture eliminating the yoke shadow I enjoy it in Dx10.

Thanks for the nice replies. I will upload the repaint in 2 versions. The dull one, which is most likely the most authentic and the glossy one which is more attractive.

William T. Larkin has taken a picture of this aircraft while it was parked on Buchanan field, Concord on 20 November 1946. While looking at this picture I noticed the text "Terminal Island" is a bit too high and I still have a few other minor corrections to make. So it will become available somewhere during the weekend.

I am surprised to learn that the G-BRVE has not yet been done. I can't make any promises, except that I definitely I will have a look at it.

Cheers,
Huub

Hi Huub,
Thank You for Your efforts, I'll wait for the upload......
I'm studying to make the repaint of the ONLY Italian Staggerwing (I-IBIS), owned during '30 by Ala Littoria's CEO as personal plane (with A.L. colours and markings).......

The tech info for the Alabeo Staggerwing specifies Windows Vista (32 or 64 bit). I'm still using XP. Am I correct to assume that if my XP is running FSX with no problem, the Staggerwing will install and fly OK?

The Alabeo D17S isn't a very complex model. I think it is safe to assume, that when FSX runs on your system, this model will work without any issues.

Both repaints have been uploaded.

Enjoy,
Huub

Cheers Huub.. both downloaded:encouragement:

Re the Staggerwing pc performance.. I ran it on WinXP Home Edition before migrating to Win7 Ultimate. It runs as well on XP as any aircraft;)

I would ask Alabeo before purchasing, and save the reply. I went through the same thing with the Waco, they said I could have money back if there was a problem.
There was a problem with the sound file that would crash my system with a BSOD, dumps point to realtec audio.
I declined the refund and replaced the sound with Mike Hambly's freeware Gee-Bee Racer sound set, the Waco just looked too good to give up on.

I can understand why they wouldn't want to look into XP issues.

Yeah.. I guess it's worth a try giving them a cautionary email first. I only had a problem with one.. can't remember which now and it might have been with Win7. There was a fix available and it worked fine:)
I actually fly the Waco more than the Staggerwing.. the view out on landing leaves a lot to be desired. Still.. it's a fine model;)
