Hi,
I found this over on YouTube, and thought some might find it interesting:

Apparently it was produced in aid of the Help For Hero's Charity.

Thanks Ian, they're big kids the Typhoon boys! I was wondering if some of the footage was taken on the Mach Loop in mid-Wales until I recognised Buchaille Etive Mhor and the run down Glencoe. :adoration:
Much enjoyed it! :ernaehrung004:

Nice vid! Just a question: the engine fan of the VC-10 (at 3:22) stands still. Is that normal?

Daan, there's a set of guide vanes in front of the first row of fan blades, see this photo:

Yes, it's a hard job, but someone's got to do it!

The current HMD helmet worn by Tiffy pilots looks so alien, as compared to the US JHMCS.

Is that the Stig's high-flying cousin?
Some say there's no face under there.....

That's the old version. The new design by Elbit is very solid performance wise and coupled with the DAS system on the F-35, it has no equal. I strongly suspect that the prime Aerospace companies in the US and EU will develop their own DAS type systems and helmets or buy into future versions of the current one. One note of interest, the F-22A currently does not have a Helmet Mounted Display(it was cut late in the program to save costs) and earlier generation fighters like the F-15 & 16, Eurofighter and Rafale do have advanced HMD's. I hear the F-22 is to receive a DAS type upgrade before long.
