Douglas DC four, this aircraft was an actual participant of the Berlin Airlift,it has just recently been painted with the OD ,the wings are still silver,it had been painted as a passenger plane with polished metal, silver and white.but the OD is correct.( this according to the announcer)..

Will be interesting to see how the new paint scheme turns out - the OD appears too dark (I almost thought it was black), but we shall see. Looks to be a DC-4/C-54, correct? The DC-4/DC-6/DC-7 are amongst my favorite airliners of all time, just behind the "Connie".

The round windows tell me it is a DC-4/C-54.

I'm thinking the same thing, too dark to be U.S. milspec olive drab.

RGB values for FS-14087 Olive Drab are listed online as 60-55-39. On my system that comes out pretty dark but it's still a visible shade of green. That C-54 looks too dark too me.
