Admin might want to sticky this when the upcoming Accusim update is released.

A2A has created a new FSX/P3D license pricing policy.
http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=40034

If you currently own the A2A Cessna 172 and only use it in P3D, you will have 30 days after the upcoming core update release to swap your FSX license/installer for a P3D licence/installer free of charge. If you use the 172 in both FSX and P3D, you will have the same 30 days to get the additional license at a discount.

Thanks a lot for the explanation.
What about their previous Accusim planes ?

I think previous releases will remain as they are, but this could change in the future depending on how much A2A's customer base shifts to P3D. I believe one of the main reasons for this policy change is to align technical support and potential legalese between the platforms.

Note...I noticed Scott also said they were discussing how their other releases will be used with P3D. Perhaps they will first wait and see how smoothly the 172 license transition goes for P3D users.

Hey Guys

Here is Accusim 2.0
http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=40084 (http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=40084&p=301165#p301165)

This update mostly affects the C-172, however it also affects the P-51(Mil and Civ), P-40, and Spitfire too. For P3D users you need to get the new P3D C172 installer as noted above.

The Cherokee release should follow shortly.

Did they explain anywhere how to swap the C172 FSX licence to a P3D licence ?
I have the C172 for FSX, but I now use it only in P3D, so I'll have to switch my licence from FSX to P3D Academic.
For info, the newest Accusim Core Update 2.0 could update all my Accusim planes in my P3D hangar, but it refused to update my C172, because it recognized it was not the P3D version.

You have to go 'buy' the 172 again. Get which ever P3D version matches your P3D licence (academic, pro...etc), then submit an email for a rebate. You get a $50 rebate for swapping licenses (you relinquish your FSX license) or $30 rebate for getting the bundle of both FSX and P3D. Most have been reporting getting there rebates within 30 mins or so.
