Seems this new driver, due out Monday, should help FSX. As I understand it, this driver takes more of a load off the CPU and FSX is claimed to be CPU intensive.

driver is out tomorrow so no real link to download yet, and I think some of the effect will filter down to your card. In the thread I linked try and check it tomorrow when the driver comes out and see as I am sure there will be guys with older cards trying it and posting results.

Gave it a try now

I run fixed 40 FPS on a Nvidia GTX 680 with Aerosofts US CIties Los Angeles X

That drops with carenado Garmin1000 planes to about 25-->with new driver runs now a 35

but thats just my experience

That's great, I tried it also and lost at least 10 fps.

Hum, lets see what it does for my crazy backup AMD A6 Quad Nvidia GT610 2G system lol. Cant be worse then the Two Intel I7 and I5 computers that I blew up since this past Jan lol.

Be surprised if they do anything for FSX (DX9) but possibly may help if you use DX10 as drivers these days are being optimise for DX11 which FSX dont use.
