Is there a scenery add-on for FSX of London's Croydon Airfield available? I would love to fly my Handley Page HP-42 and others from there.

Hopefully, Paul

Paul, I did a search for Croydon Airfield on Google Earth, and it found it. . . .but it's a Shopping Mall now, lol.

Aye, gone the way of many old well known 'fields. Interesting article here if interested: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croydon_Airport

As well as the FS2004 version mentioned above, there's an earlier rendering (circa 1939) included in Golden Wings.

Unfortunately, the FS2004 renditions mentioned above are not compatible with FSX Acceleration. I just might have to learn how to use ADE which I have installed including the latest version. I have found 2 excellent maps of the field and several photo's of the buildings. I might do better with gmax buildings as I am having a hair pulling session with gmax airplanes! Thanks for the info.

Best, Paul

I have the grass laid down and a stately home where the terminal should be, but in reality, I'd need someone who can actually create a model to recreate the terminal properly for me. Longleat House doesn't really cut the mustard, but I needed somewhere to send my Dakotas to from Nutts Corner - my interim/placeholder Croydon won the short straw.

If only I had "skill" and "time", I might finish it. The latter isn't impossible. The former ain't happening in this lifetime. :banghead:
