Something I have been meaning to do with my planes, a personal walk through introduction video on my aircraft.

This one is on the Avelina. I had been meaning to do a video for a long time and thought I would start with the Ave. I cant believe it took well over 100 Gigs of AVI video files to do this. Goodness. At one point, I filled up one of my SSD HD's and had to send over the files to another drive and continue.

Anyways. Nothing special. The main thing I wanted to show was how everything works, the basics of the plane, her features, etc.

Please don't watch it at low resolution. You wont be able to tell what anything is. Go to the link in YouTube, and there in the window, bottom right, click the gear setting symbol and select 1080P.

Wow! What a great idea! Makes a great marketing tool as well as an introduction to the aircraft.

I hear you on the file size. Last year I bought a rather nice little 1080p camcorder. I decided to archive everything in 1080p before editing. I soon realized how big those file are. I bought a 1.5 Tbyte external drive and save everything there and do my editing with it. Great video!

Best, Paul

Thanks guys.

As you know, I make a heck of a lot of mistakes in the video, like 'lowering turbine RPM.. I mean motor... ' (sigh...) but... I had been watching this guy on YouTube who does demos, unboxings, and how-to-flash-ROM's for Android phones and this guy is hilarious when he does his videos and tutorials. It made me a bit more relaxed. Normally, one word is wrong and I would reshoot the segment entirely. Could take 2 days to do several min's. But this guy makes it look so dang easy and fun. Glad I saw his vid's first.

The first time I had thought of doing something like this was a few years back. Apple used to make the best tutorial videos and that's what I wanted was some very nice, sharp, easy tutorials that show you everything. I think video tutorials are the future, perhaps even for manuals. Watch the video instead of reading the manual... You learn so much more.
