Warrant has already done a few "what if" Royal Netherlands Air Force versions for Piglet's Turboporter. However I can't recall he did this version. In 1956 the RNAF purchased 9 De Havilland Beavers, which remained in service until 1974.
But what if the RNAF would have purchased the Turbo porter instead? So I decided to paint Piglet's Turboporter in the colours which were used on the Beaver. Like the USAF the Dutch used day-glow orange on non-combat aircraft. The aircraft is painted in the colours of 334 (transport) squadron, which still exist today and is currently flying relief goods to the Philippines.
Cheers,
Huub
