Trying to get the F-14D for FSX:Acceleration by Dino Cattaneo aircraft to launch from a carrier using the FSX acceleration method with no success. I have it working pretty good using COP30. Any suggestions? Seems the launch bar won't work, blast shield doesn't come up therefore, no launch.

...that is pretty strange as it is designed from FSX:Acceleration indeed. I would suggest you check your key assignments. The launch bar control should work (and should also cause the F-14 to kneel).

Mine works fine.
I use this default Acceleration keyboard sequence:

Set Launch Bar: Shift+U
Take-Off Assist Arm: Shift+I
Take-Off Assist Trigger: Shift+Space

Ya, help me out here if you can. All my other aircraft work as described except this. I even have F-86 and T-38's working. Can you guys take a look at my .cfg? I haven't changed anything else in the download.

Well, moving the aircraft back, it arms but it doesn't kneel. See picture?

You have to move to the right position, more forward than that image shows. Then apply the parking brakes Ctrl+. and arm the launch bar Ctrl+U, then, finally, arm the catapult pressing Ctrl+i.
press the space bar and you're flying...

Same here I think Dino's launch bar is built into the model so adding it to the aircraft.cfg could be causing a conflict try deleting it from the cfg and giving it a go.

Thanks guys. I thought I had to add the launch bar. I got it. They all work fine now. As usual, reading into everything! I took the launch bar out of the aircraft .cfg and all works great!

Now that you all have straightened me out on the acceleration launch issue, one more question if I may. I am using the COP30 panel .cfg in one of these Tomcats. Are there any bad conflicting things that could happen with the acceleration launch cfg and the cop30 installed together in the same aircraft?

Potentially. The gauge based method was designed before FS had native carrier ops functionality. Since Acceleration, there is no need for third party solutions to launch/trap.

I'm not a TACPAC user, but would like to add CS's Weapons. Before I do a bunch of work, has anyone successfully added this? I'm really looking for the gun location as well as missiles.
