Hello Firekitten. I was checking on the Carenado Saratoga, looking for reviews and such, and noticed that you were working on an FDE for the model (2012). Saw it on BushPounders. I can't log on yet, so I am asking here. I like all things Piper, but I heard this one flies with a pretty high angle of attack. Thinking of getting it if the FDE has been made a little more flyable, and you are willing to share. Thank you for all of your contributions regardless of sharing this FDE.

Hi dandog, yeah I did get it done. I think its better.. but not having flown a saratoga its all data based...

Anyone here with the carenado saratoga please feel free to download this and try it out, any comments may help Dandog decide if he wants to buy one! lol!

Hey Firekitten,

Did you by chance ever do the same with the Carenado Archer II FDE? I find it to be a very enjoyable little plane, it just seems like the Archer could use some fine tuning along the pitch axis. If you haven't and would like to, I have a Piper Cadet POH, which is basically a Piper Warrior, if you need some numbers..albeit with 20 less HP than the Archer.

Cheers

haha no! Its ok.

Archer... no, didn't do an archer one, though did revamp that FDE to make a PA28-236 Dakota variant... much nicer :D I'll take a look at an archer repair job, There's one at the club iirc.

Boy did this get buried quickly. Thank you for the FDE and asking for input Firekitten! I guess I am a little late to the party with the Saratoga. There was something of a buzz about it back in 2009 at the 'Outhouse. Maybe it wasn't that optimal of a model, but it did get good reviews. I think I'll just get it anyways. It's Cessnas, not Pipers, that are in style nowadays :mixedsmi:
