Maybe this is OT:
But within FSX .xml coding, any ideas toward modeling physics, adding drag to the drop tank? Something to key besides the spoilers...
Need to gain 20-30kts, and a hair of lift when I drop that empty tank... the rest of the code is ready... any ideas?

Very interesting. It would seem you'd have to develop a work-around for not deploying flaps.0... Hmm..

Alright...
The best solution I seem to come up with, is to set up some L vars, say percentages of a total #, and that # being drag, and then taking that added for my whole #, and dividing...
For a rough example
Cowl Flaps - 25
Canopy Open - 20
Drop Tank - 30
Total 75/100
So In 16K (16383) which is the 100% mark for deflection, my WHOLE # would be 12287.25 ...
I have not used L VARS much, so my question is, where do I start?
The goal would be to pull, for example with the drop tank, the 30 off of my 75.. saving the other 45 for the other operations. Any ideas?
