Took the family to see it some years ago. The ship was being sprayed continuously with liquid preservative 24 hours a day. Your picture shows they may have ceased the spraying, unless it was a temporary stop for inspection.

A vast amount of equipment and personal items, including skeletons, were brought up with the ship.

The longbows found aboard were a fantastic find. Some have been tested by longbowmen today and the draw pull is far in excess as was believed used at the time.

One of the most marvellous sights my old eyes have seen, I can tell you.

'See Naples and die'? Forget it!....

HA! HA! OK Mate See Naples and die..They have,for thousands of years.I seen them in Pompii!.Still may When Mt. Vesuvius Blows its top again..I love history ,archeology ,ancient ruins and all its our story in history..Love this Restoration,.Not far from Naples they had been engaged in some Roman super Ships..built in 1st century AD...Looking like The Mary Rose only much bigger..but They got bombed in WW2 as being restored..I feel Yer Pride,But if we think we are so great..Go look in Ancient China!. Man what Ships and So Many...Cheers!...Vin
