I'm not sure if this has been posted before (probably has) but I found this line in the Prepar3D/FSX.cfg's

LANDING_LIGHTS=0

Changing the 0 to a 1 makes aircraft have landing ights like they did in ole' FS9 !

Mind you the developer of the aircraft has to add them to the 3d model......

Here are two shots of the effect, on (1) and off (0) the default aircraft will work with this edit.

Either I am totally blind, or... The only difference I see in the two screenshots is that in the second, the horizon is barely visible. :icon_eek:

What am I supposed to see? I'm guessing from the info given, I should be able to see some landing light effects, as in "the headlights are on.??" :ques::ques:

In the first shot you should see the ground splash made by the landing light ?

This fsx.cfg/p3d.cfg line reflects the setting "aircraft landing lights illuminate the ground", normally selectable from menu.

Strange, on my 32" LED HDTV used for a monitor, I don't see it. I was/am looking for it, but I don't see it. Does it show up on others???

I do see the splash in my sim, so if you are seeing it in those screenshots, it must be on my end.
