I'd start with either Video Drivers or as I see you've loaded SP3. I'd probably roll back SP3 first.

Both have caused folks problems with CFS2.

Not for me...SP3 has turned my PC into a smooth-running rig. It could be that your dual-core is causing problems. Have you tried running CFS2 on a single core?

How do you run it on a single core? I have noticed that if I CTRL+ALT+DEL out and end program the screen pops up just before it shuts down. I have all audio just no video.

Thanks,

John

1440x900 resolution

Maybe drop to 800 x 600 & see what happens?

I had the same problem when installing it on my new PC.

I got this answer from somebody I can't remember:

"Does the CFS2.cfg file contain this:
LOADWINDOW=0
if so, then change it to...
LOADWINDOW=1
... and see if that does it.
Dick"

WOO HOO got it working!!!! The loadwindow=1 was correct but I tinkered around in the CFS2.cfg and set image_quality=1 it was =0 and manually inputted resolution to 1440x900x32 and all is well for now. Thank you all that replied, and I'm sure I'll have more questions as install progresses. :applause::applause::applause:

Thanks everyone,
