I've got a scenery bgl that I'd like to decompile to see how it was done. Is there a good free program for this?

FS2004/FSX Bgl Analyze. Included are two different versions of a disassembler program for FS scenery files. BglAnalyze9 is for FS2004, BglAnalyze X for FSX. Where there are differences between the scenery files of both versions of FS, the programs will recognize if your are using the wrong program. In both versions only those scenery files can be disassembled which can be recompiled with the BglComp compiler from the FS SDK. If you try to recompile a disassembled FSX scenery file with the BglComp for FS2004, you will be confronted with a number of error messages, because the FSX scenery files have a number of features which were not existing in FS2004. Thanks Tom. I'm trying to move around some aircraft carriers and this should help me.

Just tried it out and it was exactly what I was looking for. The Merc Air shipyards are about to be in business :icon_lol:

Willy, I'm pretty sure you already have something to recompile the bgl's, but for anyone else reading, you can still get the FS9 SDK's from MS. BGLComp is what you need to put things back together:
