Does anyone have this jet? I just saw they have a new version our called PROFESSIONAL.......I would really love to be able to use my F-4E from C9 but have never been able to figure out how to get it working in FSX. The price of the AFS aircraft is pretty reseanable so was thinking about getting it until A2A comes out with my favorite variant of the F-4.

I'v seen that but I have never read anything nice about his stuff so have shied away from it.

I would buy any phantom that was good but as far as I have been able to work out there just isn't anything out there

Oh why does A2A not abandon everything and concentrate on the Phantom LOL

There's no evidence in the text or screenshots that this is an FsX native model, and there are still default gauges in the cockpit by the looks of it..?

If you are interested, there are a lot of demo's at Avsim from this developer so you can try it first.

Try a search at Avsim for 'Meyer Phantom'.

The C9 Phantom can work reasonably well in FSX,with the usual port over issues needing sorted. You'll need to swap out the original gauges and use a compatible set. Some of the animations don't work (eg the canopies won't open) and the fde is way off. The Iris Spey engined Phantoms are nice too, though I believe that these aren't been sold now? Finally, the three Alphasim Phantom packs have been worked on (check out these forums) to make them work in FSX..and they are now freeware.

I had the old version (which I hated). I took a chance and paid the 10 dollars for the new version because the screen shots made it look do-able. You get the price break if you had purchased the older one. Well, it's not native FSX in that it has the combined VC/external model, but the VC is about 1000 times better, and the backseat is modelled, too. It's completely photoreal, and well, very nice looking. The guages are all new, and appear to be F-4 standard with the exception of the ADI. None of the guages are stock FSX like the last version. The flight model sucks, but since it's quite challenging to fly I am ejoying it in a sort of masochistic way. It's a bit heavy on frames, for some reason. I may be able to put up some screenies later.

The VC really looks like an F-4, so for me, I'm not sorry I got this model. The VC is fully clickable, and if nothing else makes a good Cockpit Procedures Trainer (CPT). However, it needs a new flight model, and it would have been nicer if it wasn't such an FPS hogg.

It looks like a cardboard cut out using photo real textures to get out of modelling much detail

Well, it is what it is, and it's all to be considered on a relative scale. If you spent the majority of your week flying real planes, even the top of the line FSX models would look like a cardboard cut out, as nicely modeled as they are. But, for what it's worth, I can hardly wait for a native FSX F-4 to come out, too.
