thank you very much, excellent quality. Could have more of this era/airplanes. BTW the engine might be a Mercedes D1 or D2, could not verify, just counted cylinders... Check Makro Specials (https://www.ladysavings.com/publix-weekly-ad/?makro/) and Pick n Pay Specials (https://www.ladysavings.com/publix-weekly-ad/?pick-n-pay/). again thanks and brgds.

No FMC addon? :isadizzy:

FMC was tried, then removed as it weighed more than the plane did :bump:

Great model! Also, nice job on the gauges :)
WW1 planes are in minority in the FSX, but each one is a gem.

Beautiful A/C Craig, I take my hat off to you. I too am a great fan of WWI A/Cs but sadly I don't have FSX. If I tried it on my kit the PC would commit hari-kiri off the table!

But all the same I can enjoy the amazing pictures. ('If you don't vish to buy summink get yer greasy nose orf the vinder') as we used to say in London in the 1950s!

Well done mate. Hope to see the MkII from you soon, (which was the after-burner version).

Graham Sullivan.

Craig,
I do not know if you are willing to upgrade the Taube a little bit, but maybe you could consider a few ones, please ?

1. As you modelled a six cilinder engine, maybe you could use the data of the Argus as.II 150HP engine which was availble for the later Taube's.
Gerry "Mossie" Mos has na excellent website dedicated to the WW1 aviation: http://ww1-aircraft.info/ Click on the engine tab and find Argus.

2. Could you consider rebuilding the altimeter code to metric, please ?

3. The compass animation is reversed.

Those are only suggestions and the model is absolutely stunning. It is a great joy to fly and she looks just great. I hope you do not mind my points from above.

Best regards and thank you for Taube,

Lucas

Hi Lucas,

I've fixed the compass included in the zip file below, I'm not sure how to make the altimeter metric, I will look into it though.

http://www.classicwings.net/freeplanes/taube/taube_model_fix.zip only download this if you have already downloaded the original zip

(The original zip has also been updated)

I will also look at the engine data for the Argus

Many thanks.

Same little issue than with Dart Kitten II. The prop rotates backwards.
Fantastic old lady!
