I hope the Po-2 didn't give it away.

Interesting looking location and project Kilo1500. :applause:
Is this a real airport?

It also seems a great place to park a flock of Avias too!

Keep us updated.:wavey:

That looks great K1500. I agree with Nigel, this is the kind of base I look for.

Hey Nigel, maybe we could talk those pilots into giving us a hint...

This airport is very real. A few interesting tidbits about this base:

- Runway had a heating system to prevent freezing during the long winter months.
- Home to Hе-59, Hе-60, Hе-114, Аr-196 and the BE-12?!
- Completed in 1939

sounds like Kaliningrad (Baltiysk airfield) on the Vistula spit..... originally Kriegsmarine built..... hence the Heinkels based there and post-war the Be-12...

Hey John, its good to see you, love the idea but reckon our little buddy Matt's probably beaten us to it.

Looking forward to the scenery. :jump:

K1500, very nice job on the airfield. Matches very closely to the actual installation. Those were nice hangars back before they were abandoned.

Thank you for the kind words.

The hangars are finally starting to take shape and have been brought back to their original glory (unlike the previous dilapidated condition), at least as best as I could from the documentation that I have found.

A quick snapshot of my progress.

Now what to do about the lack of autogen trees between the runways......?

you could use Gerrish Greys tree librarys, they're seasonal if i recall and can be placed using most of the programs out there for scenery creation....
