The Final Mission Of The Memphis Bell May 18 1943

Today 69 years ago as I came kicking and screaming into this world the B-17F Memphis Bell made
its final approach into Bassinghorm AAF Base after completing 25 missions. Look forward to watching
the movie "Memphis Bell" tonight..I taped it from Erncore Sattlelite last night. The movie was made in
1990.

I just watched it after recording it the same day. It is a great movie however, I believe their last mission actually was a milk run into France and not nearly as dramatic as the movie portrays. If you get a chance check out "The Memphis Belle" documentary actually shot during the last mission. It has somm really great air combat footage and some interessting facts about the crew.
