For some reason the speed gauge does not appear when hitting the F5 HUD key.
How can I get this back ?

Just a couple of thoughts...
I'm guessing the speed dial is the only one missing.

I once deliberately dragged one of the HUD gauges off the screen with the mouse, then forgot I'd done it, and couldn't imagine where it went! Not to accuse anyone of my sort of on-again;off-again form of senility, but perhaps?

Also, check your viewui file in the Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application data\Microsoft\Whichever sim it is" folder for the following string. (This is for XP, but I think Win7 is similar)

<HUD Visible="1"> <Gauge1 Type="HUDAirspeed" pos="0.137 0.890"/>

Can't think what would have changed it, but it IS MSoft.

Hope this helps.

HUD Gauge 1 (Cycle) Ctrl + Shft + 1
HUD Gauge 2 (Cycle) Ctrl + Shft + 2
HUD Gauge 3 (Cycle) Ctrl + Shft + 3
HUD Gauge 4 (Cycle) Ctrl + Shft + 4
HUD Gauge 5 (Cycle) Ctrl + Shft + 5

When in QC, press and hold Ctrl and Shift Keys, then press 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.

This will cycle through one gauge at a time, one step at a time.

1 is far left HUD gauge, 3 is middle HUD gauge, and 5 is far right HUD gauge.

2 and 4 are middle left and middle right, respectively.

Hope this helps.
