While aimlessly cruising. I came across this site of aircraft engines of WW2 at wilipedia.
GERMAN ENGINES\AIRCRAFT
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_motors_of_WW2_Luftwaffe_Aircraft
Skim to the bottom for the manufacturers list and click on it. Then click on the engine designation IE: DB601 and it will show the engine, specs., and what aircraft it was used in.

JAPANESE AIRCRAFT\ENGINES
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_military_aircraft_of_Japan
This is a different format of the same information. Go to pre-1945 for WW2 aircraft. Click on plane number designation and it will direct you to a site for the planes history and specs. It also has differnet links for the I.J. Army and the Navy,

For your holiday pleasure.:wavey:

Thanks Fibber. With all the engines in use by the various forces of the world, this will make it much easier to match up the proper sound file with whatever plane we're setting up.

Jag;
Your welcome! I was going to try to make a Excel sheet out of the engines and planes but it started to become "beyond my paygrade". So I thought I would just post the references that I found. I tried to retitle it "Aircraft Engine References" and somehow the original title stuck and I couldn't re-title it.
