Would be a cool aircraft to have in FSX! Not sure how much resource material is available on the subject, though. This, I believe, is the only example left, and was restored by Pacific Fighters, in Idaho, where it currently resides. I don't know if it is airworthy or not. It used to be seen years past, at Chino, before it was restored.

Looks like a A-1 Skyraider on steriods! A FSX version would be awesome.

I did a "Shark" for FS2000 a few years back. I still have the drawings (from a Russian site) which seem to be reasonably close. I just saved John's pictures above as they are better than anything I had in the archives. Maybe a FSX version next year. It really was a Skyraider on steriods! It did suffer problems with the engine which led to the demise of other projects as well. Also, it showed up about the time pure jets were starting to take over the business.

Best, Paul (Thanks for the great shots, John)

That sounds great, Paul! If I come across any more of similar quality/content, I'll be sure to make them available to you. I'm currently interested in seeing if I can find any recent photos of the cockpit.

I would appreciate anything you can send along, especially the cockpit. VC's were not the "thing" when I did the earlier version and have very little cockpit data in the archive folder.

Best, Paul

I know i have a book about it somewhere, but as i can remember,it was a turbo prop approach for the AD Skyraider,it was extremely powerful, fast, and also very difficult to master, at the end, jet engines killed any further development.
Didnīt Ito developed one as well??

Prowler, I did find that Ito made one for FS2002/FS2004, from 2005, though I haven't given it much consideration for trying it in FSX.

Kazunori Ito also did the Douglas Skyshark for FS2002/FS2004. It's in FlightSim's library.

It displays well in FSX, but the FDE needs some work. It flys okay but is difficult to manage on the ground.

It looks up to Ito's high standards, and is very detailed. Wingfold is linked to cockpit open/close.

The gauges need replacement as they are Fs98, and the prop has the transparancy problem.

It's a nice candidate as a "fixer upper"!
