I really miss the 1% Tempest MarkV for CFS2. Does anyone have it somewhere please?

When I was quite young I read Pierre Closterman's book "Le Grand Cirque" (Yes, my 1st language is French).

The "Big Show" is the English version...

The CFS2 1% Tempest was his plane, named "Le Grand Charles"...

Thanks in advance
I love this place :jump:

Quebec_01,

The aircraft you seek is here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=50&id=3832

I am not sure if it qualifies as 1% though. Are you looking for CFS2 or CFS3?

If you're looking for CFS3, click here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=102&id=3191

Or here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=92&id=3265

I couldn't find it in the 1% archives here.

It's the same aircraft I flew but, it's not an "official 1%" and it seems, from the readme file, to be an older version of the flight dynamics.
But, it's close enough.
I had seen it on simviation, but I thought it might have been misplaced here, or, that someone (or some bear :salute: ) had it on a disk somewhere...

I'm going to test it later on

Thanks again

It's the same visual model and... that's it.
It's not the Tempest I flew... at all.:banghead:

I hope someone has it somewhere, I really do...

Digging around this AM, found a Rusky website with this Tempest:

FF9DHTM1.ZIP

Not sure if it fits your bill, but try it anyways.

Uhh....not to question your good intentions here SC, but are you sure we want our readers (especially the younger) browsing that entire list? One could or should stop :stop: at finding "FF9DHTM1.ZIP", but to look further down could make you go blind....:blind:

The FF9DHTM1.ZIP link appears to be broken anyway for my Firefox browser...

What did I miss there, BC ?

Did the page owner include some Private Images ????? I stopped at the aircraft files, didn't look any farther.....

OH !!!!! I see what you mean - and have deleted the link from my previous post. :isadizzy:

WARNING: Searching for the file FF9DHTM1.ZIP may take you to a file store in Russia that includes less-than-legal images !!!

I also use FireFox [Ver 11.0] and downloaded the FF9 file no problem....

Dun Dun Dunnnnnnn.....

Thanks for all the help guys... I am really looking for the "1% 1GB_Tempest_ ...?"
And I'll keep on looking

But... I saw the "similar threads" on the bottom left side of this thread and found this one right here Hawker Tempest Mk V.zip
(http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?linkid=3832&catid=50)In fact, it's the same one that's on Simviation, BUT... it has the Napier sound package :jump:
And, seems to fly better... perhaps because I'm not on pk's this morning:isadizzy:
The one from AvHistory carried rockets, but I don't think Tempest V's ever carried rockets despite they certainly could.
All this one can carry are droptanks, but I'm happy enough with the guns.

I found this...http://www.dreamlandbbs.com/filegate/fs/cfs/index.html #79 lists the file ff9dhtm1.zip

I don't know anything about this site other than many files are listed. I do know this specific file does not have a Napier sound package as the sound is aliased to the Corsair.

Any help?

You're the best!!!

It is the one from P. Burnage I found in our Warbirds collection, with the 1% air file and awesome Napier sounds.
With some fiddling around, I can surely hang rockets under it's beautiful wing :engel016: if I feel I must have them.

I'll have to give a spin at that other Mark V... perhaps overnight if I can get off my scanner.

This inquiry kept digging away at me, I had the Burnage Tempest V. On later checking I discovered that the dp file has in fact been reworked somewhere along the line by the Avhistory (1%) people. The model has 2 sets of skins - JFE & JFH, I think this model is the later reworks of the Burnage models with the shiny metal finish added.

dp file text heading ";; Assembly Line Damage Calculator Version 1.82 - 27/11/02 20:13:15 - Hawker Tempest V".

The only external stores are drop tanks unlike his Typhoon with full weapons loads.

This may be what you have discovered by now, but if you are still chasing files just PM back and I can send them to you. :wavey:
