John,

For starters, aside from [area.001] and [area.002], the layer and area numbers should always match one another.

However, other aspects of your scenery.cfg should be correct, so if those three folders are in the SCENEDB folder, it should work, so long as the folder names match those entries you have in the scenery.cfg file.

cfs2 eto airbases does not show in the SCENEDB directory but it does show in the cfg file.
What gives.

John,

What gives? Simple...you have a scenery.cfg entry for a folder that doesn't exist. Solve it one of two ways...

1) Remove the .cfg entry

2) Add the ETO airbases folder to your scenedb folder.

Otherwise, CFS2 will continue to look for a folder that is incorrectly named / doesn't exist, hence the error.

The thing is I don't have the three files.

John,

The scenery.cfg file is essentially a checklist, or set of instructions, that tells the simulation to load these folders as it brings up the game. If you find that you have these error messages, remove the .cfg entries so that CFS2 doesn't look for them. However, the scenedb\veh folder is standard equipment, so if you're missing that, you have bigger problems than just a couple of missing folders.

There really isn't a clearer way that I can say it.
